What is polydimethylsiloxane?
Polydimethylsiloxane is a kind of hydrophobic organosilicon material. It has been used in medicine, daily chemical supplies, food, construction and other fields, its derivatives have reached hundreds of, commonly used polysiloxane mainly: polydimethylsiloxane, cyclomethylsiloxane, amino siloxane, polymethylphenyl siloxane, polyether-polysiloxane copolymer. Cyclic polydimethylsiloxane is one of the commonly used polysiloxane.
Properties of polydimethylsiloxane:
Polydimethylsiloxane chemical state of dimethyl silicone oil, colorless or light yellow liquid, odorless, transparent, heat resistance, cold resistance, viscosity with temperature changes little, water proofing property, surface tension, thermal conductivity, thermal conductivity coefficient of 0.134-0.159 W/M * K, pervious to light transmittance 100%, dimethyl silicone oil non-toxic tasteless, has physiological inertia, good chemical stability. Electrical insulation and weather resistance, hydrophobicity, and high shear resistance, can be used at -50℃ ~ 200℃ for a long time. With excellent physical properties, it can be directly used for moisture-proof insulation, damping, shock absorption, defoamer, lubrication, polishing, etc. It is widely used for insulation lubrication, shock proof, oil and dust proof, dielectric fluid and heat carrier. And used as defoaming, mold release agent, paint and chemical additives.
